I am a visual arts student by the name of Louisa Giffard. I explore many different kinds of media, many styles and many ideas in my work. At this moment in time I am not sure what direction I should like to take in my life, but I have a strong loathing reserved for the pretensions of the art world, and the "necessary" pretensions involved in almost all creative areas. As such I aim to be an illustrator rather than an artist. I try to combat this tendency to pretension by being straightforward about my work, which is usually done for the sheer, unmitigated hell of it. 

 If you have been here before you may have noticed I've been a little lax about keeping this site in full working order, but I will endeavour to do so from now on. I'm planning on creating more categories for my work so it might be a little better sorted, but for now on, everything you may wish to see will be contained in the section "latest artwork."
