Some Screaming Art

Finally, some slightly emotional art!

the scream before painting

This is a large a3 drawing I did on watercolour paper, using Derwent Inktense pencils in yellow, fuchsia and indigo.

The water soluble pencils are extremely bright when painted (as shown below)

Just add water!

I’m impressed with this piece. I do think the shoulders are a little narrow though.

Cheers,
Christopher

Out Of Curiosity what are the dimensions of this piece?

It’s an a3 piece of watercolour paper
29.5 cm by 44 cm
That’s 11.6 inches by 17.25 inches roughly.

Thanks,
Louisa

Saw this image on a roller derby flyer, I had to liberate it and hang it on my wall. You don’t have prints of this available do you?

By the way, your anti-spam question has the wrong answer.... the earth revolves around ME! ;-)

I typed ”screaming” into google images this morning and this piece came up. I’m not an artist or a critic, I’m just a woman who looked at this piece and was stricken by it’s raw emotion and beauty. I saw it and understood.
